Umpqua Drops Home Contest

The RiverHawk men of Umpqua Community College couldn't overcome a slow offensive start and dropped a Southern Region contest versus Clark College by a score of 80-73. Despite some scoring difficulties, the RiverHawks stayed close the entire contest, but missed free-throws and offensive rebounding ultimately proved to be their demise.

Ethan Betts led the RiverHawks with 15 points, followed by Jacob Danhoff with 12, Grant Ellison with 11 and Daniel Reno with 10 points. Betts went 6-6 from the floor, but the rest of the RiverHawk team combined to go 20-49 from the floor, including just 2 of 11 from the 3-pt line.

The loss slipped the RiverHawks into a tie for the Southern Region lead with two games remaining. They sit at 9-5 in Southern Region play, with four teams just a single game behind them.
