James Kelly won the pole vault at the first meet of the season for UCC. He was half a foot short of his school record on a day with low temps, strong winds, and constant mix of rain and snow. On the day he cleared 4.40m/14-5.25ft, a jump that led all competitors by 6". The RiverHawks have been training outside despite the tough weather lately, and that durability showed during this meet.

UCC coaches are proud of how far Jimmy has come with this only being his second year vaulting. He's been a great leader for this crew and it's clear he's found his way with this event with more still to come.
