Hills took third place in the triple jump at the Pacific Open with a mark of 14.04 meters, ranking him third overall in the NWAC this season in the event. He was only behind a Division II competitor from Western Oregon and an unattached competitor (last year's NWAC Champion Oliver Reis). Hills also had the 12th best mark in the long jump at 6.30 meters. He was also a part of the men's 4x100 meter relay team that took second place in 41.91 seconds, ranking second overall in the NWAC and breaking the school record.
