Emori Pauli from South Umpqua High School in Oregon has committed to RiverHawk Track & Field and Obstacle Course Racing. Emori has a background as multi-sport athlete as he has spent his life playing soccer and later adding track and field throughout his high school career. His background in soccer and hurdles will give him quite the advantage in OCR.
On the track side, Emori has posted some solid times while training under Coach Keri Vermillion, who helped work with jumpers at UCC in 2022. At the 2024 OSAA 3A State Championships, Emori took 4th in the 110m hurdles with a PR of 15.91, then placed 8th in the 300m hurdles. At the district meet, he placed 1st in both events. As a junior, Emori finished 10th in the 110m hurdles at state and 5th in the 300m hurdles with a PR of 41.35. As a sophomore, he ran the 3rd leg for the 4x400m relay team as they placed 7th at state. We are very excited to have a local talent such as Emori joining both our Track & Field and OCR teams this upcoming year. His work ethic will be a great addition to the programs.
