Layne Percell from Oakland High School in Oregon has committed to RiverHawk Track and Field to join the throws crew.

Layne is another local athlete with some solid talent in the throws, filling a necessarily role for our team. Layne has personal best marks of 124'11 in the discus and 39'10 in the shot put. He finished 3rd at the District Championships this year in shot put, an improvement from the previous year where he finished 16th. His junior year, he took 1st in discus at the District Championships to qualify for state, where he finished in 11th. We are excited to have Layne working with our throws crew as he has a great build and some untapped potential.
